The Middle Management Institute (MMI) is a one-day professional development program geared toward admissions professionals looking to advance within the field. Participants will have the opportunity to interact and learn from a variety of admissions professionals in management roles. The curriculum for MMI will reflect that of NACAC’s Admissions Middle Management Institute.

Session 1: Data Analytics and Enrollment Management

Data and analytics session geared toward understanding how to utilize data and new trends to meet enrollment goals.

 

11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Session 2: Career Advancement: Move Up, Move Out

Often, in order to move up, you may need to move out. Learn how to navigate the admissions ladder and how to market yourself within or outside of your current institution. This session will help you identify career goals, explore the structure of your current institution, and consider opportunities for upward mobility.

Session 3: Leadership in Middle Management

Good leaders play a vital role in our profession. This panel will explore leadership in admissions and enrollment management, and help you to identify your own personal leadership style. We will examine opportunities and challenges that face middle managers.

 

2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Session 4: Admissions and Beyond

Middle manager job responsibilities often extend beyond territory management and admissions events. This panel presentation will explore the importance of working collaboratively with key stakeholders in higher education administration and how these partnerships and experiences impact your professional goals.

 

3:45 – 5:00 p.m.

Session 5: Personality Profile Group Activity

Personality Profile Session Group Activity. Debrief the results of your personality report and how to work within a larger organization.
